(Revelation 3:19).
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me
(Revelation 3:20).
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame
and sat down with My Father on His throne
(Revelation 3:21).
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches
(Revelation 3:22).

What is mercy? The dictionary reveals mercy as "a blessing resulting from divine favor- also,
compassion shown to an offender or victim(s) of misfortune." This scripture here in
Revelation reveals God's mercy-
"...as many as I love, I rebuke and correct...(Revelation 3:19).
In many other scriptures of Revelation, repentance is associated with judgment as an
alternative. But not in this scripture. Here, God chooses to show mercy to His Overcomers. God
chooses to rebuke and correct His Overcomers rather than take action in a more severe way.
In other words God loves each of His Overcomers and when one repents of sin, many times He
shows mercy rather than punishment.
God appears to reveal this teaching in several scrolls of the Bible. Here are only a few:
Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills...(Romans 9:18).
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a
new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and
upon the Israel of God
(Galatians 6:15-16).
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us...
(Ephesians 2:4).
Behold, I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock. If anyone hears My voice and
opens the door (of his heart), I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
A Door (to God's Salvation)
God appears to reveal this truth in several scrolls of Revelation:
It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Five-
I AM He who searches the minds and hearts...
(Revelation 2:23).
See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me
(Revelation 3:20).
(Luke 12:36-37).
For the Son of Man is come (to your heart's door) to seek and to save the lost
(Luke 19:10).
(James 5:9).
For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you
have gone through the Jewish ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart
is right with God. And true circumcision is not a cutting of the body but a change of heart
produced by God's Spirit. Whoever has that kind of change seeks praise from God, not from people
(Romans 2:28-29).
...clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit
of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart
(2 Corinthians 3:3).
...we love Him, because He first loved us
(1 John 4:19).

The Lord promises His Overcomers a banquet in Heaven. Eating is symbolic of fellowship.
God reveals the matter of eating with Him in several scrolls of Revelation:
It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Two-
...to him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, that is in the middle of the
Paradise of God
(Revelation 2:7).
...to him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat...
(Revelation 2:17).
...if anyone...opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me
(Revelation 3:20).
(Matthew 8:11).
Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that
day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God
(Mark 14:25).
And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and
drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel
(Luke 22:29-30).
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame
and sat down with My Father on His throne.
