Are there other scrolls in the bible that appear to reveal this? Yes. Here are a few that appear to be relevant-

The false god, Baal, is identified with the false god, Molech-
Because they have forsaken Me and made this an alien place, because they have burned incense in it to other gods whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known, and have filled this place with the blood of the innocents- they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind (Jeremiah 19:4-5)...but they set their abominations in the temple (house) that is called by My name, to defile it. And they built the high places of Baal that are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin
(Jeremiah 32:34-35).

Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals- and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt- and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them- and they provoked the Lord to anger. They forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. So He delivered them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them- and He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. Wherever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for calamity, as the Lord had said, and as the Lord had sworn to them. And they were greatly distressed
(Judges 2:11-15).

And Elijah said to them- seize the prophets of Baal- do not let one of them escape. So they seized them- and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there
(1 Kings 18:40).

Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him
(1 Kings 19:18).

Baal was also the supreme male divinity of the Phoenicians or Canaanites- the sun-god. The religion of Baal not only condoned child murder but also child molesting and child slavery. God is against all of that.

So, it appears that some churches of Revelation allowed this evil cancer of the Nicolaitans to take root and spread in their congregations- and the Lord was not happy about it-
...the teaching of the Nicolaitans- which thing I hate (Revelation 2:15).

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God- every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh (Jesus Christ is God) is of God, and every spirit who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God- and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already
(1 John 4:1-3).

Revelation 2:7
Let all who have (spiritual) ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. To the Overcomer- I will give the privilege of eating the fruit of the Tree of Life that is in the Paradise of God.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him- nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned
(1 Corinthians 2:14).

Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight- there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone

They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods- according to the rituals of the nations from among whom they were carried away. To this day they continue practicing the former rituals- they do not fear the Lord, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances, or the law and commandment which the Lord had commanded the children of Jacob, whom He named Israel, with whom the Lord had made a covenant and charged them, saying- you shall not fear other gods, nor bow down to them nor serve them nor sacrifice to them- but the Lord, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice. And the statutes, the ordinances, the law, and the commandment that He wrote for you, you shall be careful to observe forever- you shall not fear other gods. And the covenant that I have made with you, you shall not forget, nor shall you fear other gods. But the Lord your God you shall fear- and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies. However they did not obey, but they followed their former rituals. So these nations feared the Lord, yet served their carved images- also their children and their children's children have continued doing as their fathers did, even to this day

...moreover He said to me, son of man, all My words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your (spiritual) ears (Ezekiel 3:10)...but when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them- thus says the Lord Yahweh- He who (spiritually) hears, let him hear (and obey Me), but he who stops (spiritually) hearing (and obeying Me), let him stop- for they are the (spiritually) rebellious (ones) of hell (Ezekiel 3:27)...Son of man, you dwell in the middle of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and do not see, who have ears to hear, and do not hear- for they are a rebellious house
