And He made us to be a kingdom- priests to His God and Father. To Him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen...
(Revelation 1:6)

...Look! He is coming with the clouds and everyone will see Him- including those who pierced Him. And all peoples of the earth will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen
(Revelation 1:7).

I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End- says the Lord- who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty
(Revelation 1:8).

Are there any Bible scriptures that might help us understand these verses here in Revelation? In my opinion I think so-

Revelation 1:6
And He made us to be a kingdom- priests to His God and Father. To Him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen...

Overcomers Will Be Priests to God

What is a priest to God? A priest to God is one who has a close relationship with God- one who devotes his life to Him alone and to Christ.

Does God reveal this in His scrolls of Revelation. Yes-

Revelation Scroll Number One
And He made us to be a kingdom- priests to His God and Father. To Him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen...
(Revelation 1:6).

Revelation Scroll Number Nine
And made them kings and priests to our God, and they reign on earth
(Revelation 5:10).

Revelation Scroll Number Eleven
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years
(Revelation 20:6).

Are there other scrolls in the bible that appear to reveal this? Yes-here are a few-

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice, and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession from among all peoples- for all the earth is Mine and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the children of Israel
(Exodus 19:5-6).

...but you shall be named the priests of Yahweh- men shall call you the ministers of our God- you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves
(Isaiah 61:6).

...but you are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God`s own possession, that you may show forth the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
(1 Peter 2:9).

Revelation 1:7
...Look! He is coming with the clouds and everyone will see Him- including those who pierced Him. And all peoples of the earth will wail because of Him. Yes! Amen.

The Second Coming of Christ

The second coming of Christ is revealed in several scrolls of Revelation-

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number One-
...from Him...who is to come (Revelation 1:4)
...behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him (Revelation 1:7)
...the Lord...Who is to come (Revelation 1:8).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Five-
...but hold fast what you have till I come (Revelation 2:25).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Six-
Remember therefore how you have received and heard- hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you
(Revelation 3:3).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Seven-
Behold, I AM coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown
(Revelation 3:11).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Nine-
...Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come (Revelation 4:8).
O Lord God Almighty- the One who is and who was and who is to come (Revelation 11:17).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Ten-
Behold, I AM coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame
(Revelation 16:15).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eleven-
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him (to Israel) on white horses
(Revelation 19:11-14).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Twelve-
Behold, I AM coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book
(Revelation 22:7).

And behold, I AM coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work
(Revelation 22:12).

He who testifies to these things says- surely I AM coming quickly...(Revelation 22:20).

It is better to look ahead and prepare
than to look back and despair

The Lord's Coming Again is Mentioned in Other Scrolls of the Bible

Here are just a few select verses-
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works (Matthew 16:27)...For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be (Matthew 24:27)... Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory
(Matthew 24:30)...Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming
(Matthew 24:42)...Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect (Matthew 24:44)...Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming
(Matthew 25:13).

For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens. Therefore do not throw away your boldness- that has a great reward. For you need patience, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. For yet a very little while, He who comes will come, and will not wait
(Hebrews 10:34-37).

The Lord's Coming is Associated With Clouds

This revelation is found in Revelation Scroll Number One-
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen
(Revelation 1:7).

Is this revealed in other scrolls of the holy Bible? Well, let us take a look-
I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of Heaven. He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, that shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one that shall not be destroyed
(Daniel 7:13-14).

...and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory
(Matthew 24:30).

Jesus said to him- it is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you- hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of Heaven
(Matthew 26:64).

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said- men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, Who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven
(Acts 1:9-11).

But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those who have fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God`s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

The Lord's Coming is Associated With Thunder

Are there any other scrolls in the bible that appear to reveal this? Yes-
Our God comes with the noise of thunder. Fire devours everything in His way, and a great storm rages around Him
(Psalm 50:3).

What does Revelation reveal?
These revelations are found in Revelation Scroll Number Nine-
And from the throne proceeded...thunderings
(Revelation 4:5).

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were...thunderings...
(Revelation 8:5).

Then the temple of God was opened in Heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were...thunderings...
(Revelation 11:19).

And I heard a voice from Heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder
(Revelation 14:2).

And these revelations are found in Revelation Scroll Number Ten-
And there were...thunderings
(Revelation 16:18).

And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying- Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
(Revelation 19:6).

The Lord Was Pierced

This truth is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number One-
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen
(Revelation 1:7).

Is this revealed in other scrolls of the holy Bible? Well, let us take a look-
I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look to Me whom they have pierced- and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one who is in bitterness for his firstborn
(Zechariah 12:10).

How was the Lord pierced? He was nailed to the cross for your sins and mine.
But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out
(John 19:34).

He (Jesus) said to Thomas- reach your finger here, and look at My hands- and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing. And Thomas answered and said to Him- my Lord and my God
(John 20:27-28).

This revelation is found in the biblical scroll of Zechariah-
And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication- then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. And the land shall mourn, every family by itself- the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves- the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves- the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves- the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves- all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves
(Zechariah 12:10-14).

Revelation 1:8
I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega

The Greek words, alpha and omega, mean beginning and ending. What is the spiritual meaning of those words? The spiritual meaning is that Jesus Christ, as God, is eternally existent- He spiritually exists without a beginning or an ending. This truth appears to be further emphasized by the alpha and omega scrolls of Revelation.

It is revealed twice in Revelation Scroll Number One (the alpha or beginning scroll)-
I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty
(Revelation 1:8)

...I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (Revelation 1:11).

and it is revealed twice in Revelation Scroll Number Twelve (the omega or end scroll)-
...I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 21:6)

...I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last
(Revelation 22:13).

And that is not all- this revelation is further shared with us by God in Revelation in slightly different words-

It is revealed in Original Scroll Number One-
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me- do not be afraid- I AM the First and the Last
(Revelation 1:17).

It is also revealed in Original Scroll Number Three-
These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life
(Revelation 2:8).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eight-
Jesus is the...Beginning...of God's Creation
(Revelation 3:14).

and God revealed this truth about Himself in the biblical scroll of Isaiah:
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and His Redeemer, the Lord of Armies- I AM the First and I AM the Last- besides Me there is no God
(Isaiah 44:6).

Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called- I AM He, I AM the First, I AM also the Last. Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the heavens- when I call to them they stand up together
(Isaiah 48:12-13).

Jesus Christ is Eternal

This attribute of Christ is a major bible doctrine. Let us study a little Christology here. What is that? That is the study of Jesus Christ. Why? Because if we know Who Jesus is, it will help us understand Him better. One of the fundamental truths of Christology is that Christ is eternal- He does not have a beginning or an ending. How does that apply to Christ being the Root of King David? Christ was not only David's Son but David's Lord
(Matthew 22:41-45). How could that be? That was possible because Christ is God and because Christ is eternal. That means that He existed before King David and that He existed after King David. Not only did Christ exist before King David but He existed before King David's father. As well, the prophet, Isaiah, referred to Christ as the root of Jesse-
And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, that shall stand for an ensign of the people- to it shall the gentiles seek- and His rest shall be glorious
(Isaiah 11:10).
Who was Jesse? He was the father of King David. Therefore, Christ existed before King David's father (He was the root of Jesse) and Christ will rule the world and give peace to it during His millennial reign (His rest shall be glorious).

As David was the son of Jesse, so also is Christ "the Son of David" and that is one of His divine titles-
(Matthew 1:1, 9:27, 12:23, 15:22, 21:9 & 15; Mark 12:35-37; Luke 18:38-39). But Christ is not only compared to a root but also a living grape vine-
...(spiritually) abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine- no more can yoy, except you abide in Me
(John 15:4).
Let us recognize the truth that Christ is God and that He is eternal. Let us remain attached to the Root and the Vine so we can enjoy His spiritual nourishment continually flowing to us.
