(Revelation 1:1)

who faithfully reported the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ- and about everything he saw
(Revelation 1:2).

Blessed is (blessings on) he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time approaches
(Revelation 1:3).

Revelation 1:1
This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to Him to show to His Overcomers the (future) events that must speedily come to pass- and He verified this by sending His angel to His love slave, John.

Who Is Jesus Christ?

The Testimony of Jesus Christ involves the revelation of Who He is. So, what is this revelation? Is this revelation found in the scrolls of Revelation? Well, let us take a look:

This testimony about Jesus Christ is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number One-
...Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth...who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father...He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him... I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1:5-8)...I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (Revelation 1:11)...I Am the First and the Last...I Am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I Am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death
(Revelation 1:17-18).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Two-
He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, Who walks in the middle of the seven golden lampstands
(Revelation 2:1).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Three-
...the First and the Last- Who was dead and came to life
(Revelation 2:8).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Four-
He who has the sharp two-edged sword
(Revelation 2:12).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Five-
...the Son of God, Who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass
(Revelation 2:18).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Six-
He who has the Seven Spirits of God and the seven stars
(Revelation 3:1).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Seven-
He Who is holy, He Who is true- He Who has the key of David- He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens
(Revelation 3:7).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eight-
...the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God
(Revelation 3:14).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Nine-
You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created (Revelation 4:11).

...Him who lives forever and ever, Who created Heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it...
(Revelation 10:6).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Ten-
...You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and Who was and Who is to be...
(Revelation 16:5).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eleven-
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me- see that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Now I saw Heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and anger of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written- KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
(Revelation 19:10-16).

This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Twelve-
I AM the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star
(Revelation 22:16)...surely I AM coming quickly (in the quickness of due time)
(Revelation 22:20).

Are there other scrolls in the bible that appear to reveal this? Yes. Here are a few-

Jesus said...I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me
(John 14:6).

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying- who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? So they said- some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them- but who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said- You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered and said to him- blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in Heaven
(Matthew 16:13-17).

That which was from the beginning, that we have heard, that we have seen with our eyes, that we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life- the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life that was with the Father and was manifested to us- that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full
(1 John 1:1-4).

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the (divine) Christ? He is antichrist who denies the (divine) Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either, he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. Therefore let that abide in you that you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us- eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you...
(1 John 2:22-26).

...the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you (1 Corinthianso 1:6)...but of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption that, as it is written- he who glories, let him glory in the Lord
(1 Corinthianso 1:30-31).

When you and I rightly believe in Jesus Christ and believe that He is God and that He is the only way to Heaven, then it is revealed we have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

What is Prophecy?

Prophecy can involve, but is not limited to, both foretelling and forthtelling. Some events can be foretold to take place beforehand. An example of this might be the second coming (second advent) of Christ
(Revelation 19:11-16). On the other hand there is forthtelling. This can include events that involve human behaviors, beliefs, customs, and worship. An example of this might be the fact that Christ rebuked some in the early church who believed in the false doctrine of the Nicolaitans. God revealed the fact, twice, that He hated this false doctrine
(Revelation 2:15). And there are other examples not mentioned here.

Jesus Christ is a Prophet and Knows the Future

Besides being divine, Jesus Christ is a mighty Prophet in word and in power. He knows the future because He is eternally existent- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever
(Hebrews 13:8).

Is Jesus a prophet? Yes indeed- Moses referred to Jesus as the Prophet-
The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites, and you must listen to that Prophet (Deuteronomy 18:15)... I will raise up a Prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will tell that Prophet what to say, and He will tell the people everything I command Him
(Deuteronomy 18:18).

Does scripture prove that Jesus Christ is that Prophet? Yes- the Apostle Peter revealed this in referring to Jesus Christ-
For Moses truly said to the fathers- The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people
(Acts 3:22-23).

and Stephen, the martyr, revealed the same thing-
This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel- The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear
(Acts 7:37).

Jesus revealed-
All things that I have heard from My Father, I have made known unto you
(John 15:15).

The Spirit of Truth will show you things to come
(John 16:13).

Jesus Christ Does Reveal Future Events

He shares this in several scrolls of Revelation.

In Revelation Scroll Number One He states that He reveals the future-
Write...the things that will take place after this (Revelation 1:19)...events that must speedily come to pass...(Revelation 1:1).

In Revelation Scroll Number Nine He states that He reveals the future-
Come up here, and I will show you things that must take place after this
(Revelation 4:1).

In Revelation Scroll Number Twelve He states that He reveals the future-
...the Lord God...sent His angel to show His Overcomers the events that must speedily come to pass. Behold, I AM coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the forthtelling (prophecy) of this book
(Revelation 22:6-7).

Revelation 1:2
...who faithfully reported the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ- and about everything he saw.

The Testimony of Jesus Christ

What is the testimony of Jesus? God appears to answer that question for us-
...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10). What is the spirit of prophecy? As mentioned already, prophecy can involve forth telling (preaching, verbal witnessing, et cetera) and foretelling future events. So, the Testimony of Jesus Christ involves, but is not limited to, what Christ taught and preached as well as what He had to say about future events. God reveals the fact that there is such a testimony in His word:

The fact that there is such a testimony is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number One-
...who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 1:2).

I, John...was on the island that is called Patmos for...the testimony of Jesus Christ
(Revelation 1:9).

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Nine-
And the dragon...went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who...have the testimony of Jesus Christ
(Revelation 12:17)

It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eleven-
...I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus ...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy
(Revelation 19:10).

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is (blessings on) he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time approaches.

God's Blessings for His Overcomers

God's blessings for His Overcomers are revealed in Revelation Scroll Number One-
Blessed is (blessings on) he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things that are written in it- for the time approaches
(Revelation 1:3).

More blessings are revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Ten-
Then I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me- write- blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes- says the Spirit- that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them
(Revelation 14:13).

Behold, I AM coming as a thief. Blessed are all who are watching for Me, who keep their robes ready so they will not need to walk naked and ashamed
(Revelation 16:15).

More blessings are revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Eleven-
Then he said to me- write- blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb...
(Revelation 19:9).

Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years
(Revelation 20:6).

More blessings are revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Twelve-
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city
(Revelation 22:14).

Behold, I am coming without delay (at the appointed time)! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this scroll
(Revelation 22:7).

Many blessings for God's Overcomers are mentioned in other scrolls of the bible- here are a select few.

Jesus said-
..blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it (Luke 11:28).

Scriptures of blessing for God's Overcomers are revealed in the Bible book of Deuteronomy-
If you fully obey the Lord your God by keeping all the commands I am giving you today, the Lord your God will exalt you above all the nations of the world.

You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God-

You will be blessed in your towns and in the country.

You will be blessed with many children and productive fields. You will be blessed with fertile herds and flocks.

You will be blessed with baskets overflowing with fruit, and with kneading bowls filled with bread.

You will be blessed wherever you go, both in coming and in going.

The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!

The Lord will bless everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land He is giving you.

If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as His holy people as He solemnly promised to do.

Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the Lord, and they will stand in awe of you.

The Lord will give you an abundance of good things in the land He swore to give your ancestors- many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops.

The Lord will send rain at the proper time from His rich treasury in the heavens to bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.

If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God and carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always have the upper hand.

You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving you today to follow after other gods and worship them.
(Deuteronomy 28:1-14).

Here are a few select scriptures from the Bible book of Psalms for God's Overcomers-
Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people
(Psalm 3:8).

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous- with favor You will surround him as with a shield
(Psalm 5:12).

The Lord will give strength to His people- the Lord will bless His people with peace
(Psalm 29:11).

Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked
(Psalm 94:12-13).

Blessed are those who keep justice and he who does righteousness at all times
(Psalm 106:3).

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth- the generation of the upright will be blessed
(Psalm 112:1-2).

And there are many more of God's promises of blessings for His Overcomers in His holy scriptures that are not mentioned here.
