Conclusion

Jesus Healed Folks of Cancer

"Jesus traveled throughout Galilee teaching in the synagogues, preaching everywhere the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed people who had every kind of sickness and disease. News about him spread far beyond the borders of Galilee so that the sick were soon coming to be healed from as far away as Syria. And whatever their illness and pain, or if they were possessed by demons, or were epileptics, or were paralyzed- He healed them all. Large crowds followed Him wherever He went- people from Galilee, the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, from all over Judea, and from east of the Jordan River"
(Matthew 4:23-25).

"That evening at sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. And a huge crowd of people from all over Capernaum gathered outside the door to watch. So Jesus healed great numbers of sick people who had many different kinds of diseases..."
(Mark 1:32-34).

"As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one"
(Luke 4:40).

You Are So Special!

 Happiness keeps you sweet,
 Trials keep you strong,
 Sorrows keep you human,
 Failures keep you humble,
 Success keeps you glowing,
But only God keeps you going!

More Healing Verses From The Bible

I also tell you this- If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, My Father in Heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together because they are Mine, I AM there among them
(Matthew 18:19-20).

Then Jesus said to the disciples-
Have faith in God. I assure you that you can say to this mountain- May God lift you up and throw you into the sea, and your command will be obeyed. All that is required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart. Listen to Me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in Heaven will forgive your sins, too
(Mark 11:22-25).

For You are my hiding place- You protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory. The Lord says-
I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you
(Psalm 32:7-8).

Because he loves Me- says the Lord- I will rescue him- I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him- I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation
(Psalm 91:14-16).

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows- yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed
(Isaiah 53:4-5).

"He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by His wounds!"
(1 Peter 2:24).

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses"
(Matthew 8:17).

...how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses to hear your case? Have you never heard or understood? Do not you know that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out- He offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint
(Isaiah 40:27-31).

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble
(Psalms 46:1).

I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, Who made the heavens and the earth! He will not let you stumble and fall- the One who watches over you will not sleep. Indeed, He Who watches over Israel never tires and never sleeps. The Lord Himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not hurt you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever
(Psalms 121).

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart- and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes- fear the Lord, and depart from evil
(Proverbs 3:5-6).

Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death?...No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death cannot, and life cannot. The angels cannot, and the demons cannot. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell cannot keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:35-39).

This is the confidence we have in approaching God- that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us— whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of Him
(1 John 5:14-15).

Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise
(Hebrews 10:23).

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right- His ears are open to their cries for help
(Psalm 34:15).

O Lord my God, I cried out to You for help, and You restored my health
(Psalm 30:2).

For the Lord God is our light and protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who do what is right
(Psalm 84:11).

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them- for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with you- He will not fail you, nor forsake you
(Deuteronomy 31:6).

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord- and He delighteth in his way
(Psalms 37:23).

God's Will and Timing

There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to rebuild. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to lose. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak up. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

Some theologians teach that divine healing has already been accomplished and that all we have to do is accept it. (It's past tense in timing). And how do we accept it? The same way we accept salvation- by faith. God's sovereignty and timing are under His control and not ours. He proved that by His discourse to Job. Your healing falls under the sovereignty of God. Period.

Let us use Christ as our example and look at Him in the Garden of Gethsemane. Did Christ demand His own way? Did He get stubborn or throw a temper tantrum like some of us do when we do not get our own way? Christ pleaded with His Father for a way out.
He told them- My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and watch with Me. He went on a little farther and fell face down on the ground, praying- My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine
(Matthew 26:38-39).

The result of His attitude (and yours and mine) should be "Your will be done in my life." So, no matter what we get or do not get from God, let us seek the Healer and not the healing. Let us praise Him for Who He is and trust Him in spite of our circumstances.

Some of My Thoughts On Divine Healing

Sometimes you feel so powerless- the circumstances are out of your control. You feel like there is not much you can do about it. But you have to remember that God is greater than any problem that I have. The perspective is Big God, little problem. God (the Mountain Mover) specializes in moving mountains (your trials) out of your life. Sometimes He instantly removes a mountain in your path. At other times He may slowly and gradually work His miracles. Sometimes He may not give you a total healing, but, instead, give you an enabling. God gave Paul the Apostle an enabling (Paul kept his infirmity but God enabled him to do the work of an Apostle at the same time).
"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a THORN in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure"
(2 Corinthians 12:7).

The forgiveness of your sins and the healing of your body was provided by Christ for you in His atonement. His healthy body was ripped apart so that your broken body can be put back together in healing. There is power in His shed blood. As a child of God you have a right (positionally) to this healing.

Do not believe Satan's lie to you that God does not care about you and that you have been abandoned by God. The truth of the matter is- that the Lord does care about you very much and He is concerned about what you are going through. Satan wants you to feel helpless and hopeless, but God wants you to trust Him.

Sometimes, it is hard to believe in something that you have not experienced. That is NOT the case with me. I have been divinely healed. If God is your Father you need to talk to Him about what you want from Him. Communication is essential. If you are not saved then the greatest healing is when Jesus Christ comes into your heart- that is spiritual healing.

God's way for the healing of any sick person is to go to church and let the elders anoint them with oil and pray for them. Maybe you do not like this way. I believe that the story of General Namaan of the Syrian Army has a message for us here. He did not like God's way of doing things, either. But, like it or not, General Namaan did it and got his healing- and so can you.

What if you are not physically able to go to church? Then have the church come to you. How? Telephone your nearest Assemblies of God pastor and talk to him about your request.

Do not try to manipulate God with a vow. I know if you are in desperate circumstances you may be tempted to bargain with God like Hannah did in the Old Testament:
And she made this vow- "O Lord Almighty, if You will look down upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to You. He will be Yours for his entire lifetime..."
(1 Samuel 1:11).

But I really want you to avoid this temptation for several reasons. God may not like it if you try to manipulate Him. He wants you to come by the simple faith of a child, not by manipulation in any form. And there is another reason:
"When thou shalt VOW a VOW unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee"
(Deuteronomy 23:21).

What is your destiny? It may just be that God is NOT finished with you yet. No one on earth has all the answers. To be NOT healed does not mean that God is angry with you or is punishing you. Always maintain a proper perspective of God- He is kind and loving and tender as seen in the life of Christ. Come to Him in faith. Remember who you are in Christ- you are not a lowly worm but a King's Kid- God only gives good gifts to His children. Healing is provided for you in the atonement of Christ.

After healing someone Christ had the person go to the priest (the local doctor at the time) and get a medically verified testimony of his or her healing. All truth is subject to verification. He did this for the same reason that He had twelve basketfulls of bread crumbs left over after feeding the multitude- as proof that He did a genuine miracle- so no one could claim that He did it by mass hypnosis.
"And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve BASKETs full"
(Matthew 14:20).

I want you to consider the possibility that you might be under Satanic attack. Satan will attack you simply because you belong to God. He will torment you, generally speaking, but he will specifically target you from time to time. When he does this he will try to destroy you directly or indirectly. He can cause you a lot of pain. He can bring a lot of hurt to your life. This is his job and he enjoys doing it. If you suspect that he is behind the circumstances that brought you so much anguish, then you must draw your spiritual sword and do spiritual battle. Stand your ground, dig in your heels, and go to war with him. Attack him. Use the armour of the spirit (as mentioned in Ephesians). Do not lie down and quit and let him kick you again. You must fight to live. You must fight for your soul. As the song says, "Onward Christian Soldiers!"

Satan likes to deceive folks into thinking that he is a healer. One of his tricks is that he continually afflicts a healthy person. That person then seeks healing from a servant of Satan who then prays in the name of Satan for that person's healing. Then Satan quits afflicting that person who returns to normal health. Satan gets praise, glory, and worship that he desperately craves. But it is a counterfeit healing and based on a lie.

Satan has a bag of tricks. Satan will try to rob a person of their healing by casting doubt on their healing so they mentally will take the illness back. Or he may cast doubt on the healer. Or he may try to discredit the one healed or the miracle itself. Satan is cunning like a fox- watch out for him. The One who is in you (Jesus Christ) is greater than he who is in the world (Satan).
"GREATER IS HE that IS in you, than he that is in the world"
(1 John 4:4).

Conclusion

Have you ever wondered why there are certain scriptures in the Bible? Well, maybe it is because God wants to talk to you and I about a specific topic- He wants us to know His will on a certain matter. His word is rich in truth if we take the time to mine for the golden nuggets of truth contained in it. That is one purpose of this web page. And always remember that Jesus Christ specializes in encouraging His children through His word.

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with My word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it"
(Isaiah 55:10-11).

Some folks wonder if it is God's will to heal. Yes, it is always God's will to heal and always Satan's will to destroy. Jesus Christ, Who is God the Son, went about healing every form of disease and sickness. As you study His ministry of healing you will discover this truth for yourself.

When you think you have been divinely healed and are taking medication, what is the rule? The rule is to keep on taking your medication and if you have been healed, your body will get a reaction to the meds. Once you get a reaction, quit taking your meds because that means that God has divinely and instantaneously healed you. Some faith healers will tell you to throw away your meds as an act of faith when you have not been healed. That is not an act of faith but an act of presumption. Do not do it.

What about healing? Well, some folks say that healing is healing, no matter what your prognosis is and no matter how you get it. There is some merit of fact to that statement, but there are different kinds of healing.
Sometimes God heals instantaneously.
Sometimes He heals slowly over a period of time.
As shown in the gospels, God heals in response to prayer and faith.
Sometimes God lets a person's own body do the healing (but He helps).
Sometimes God uses ministers and/or doctors to heal through...
Sometimes God heals through proper diet, nutrition, and exercise.
And there are other kinds of healing not mentioned here.

It is God's will to heal and many folks have been healed who have asked God for healing. Where does disease, sickness, and death come from? God wanted only perfect health and happiness for our great great grandparents, Adam and Eve, and had perfect conditions created for them, but Satan had other ideas. Sickness, disease, and death came about when they (as representatives of the human race) gave their authority to the devil.
If the devil has not personally caused your disease, it is in his camp one way or another. Satan is the ultimate one responsible for your disease, not God.

My prayer is that you reach out in love and faith to God and touch the hem of His garment. You might be surprised at what happens...

What if the ill one dies?
Sometimes God allows a person to go home to Heaven to be with Himself which is the ultimate healing...
Remember the old saying: "time heals all wounds".
The normal amount of time for grieving a major loss is about one year.
